Motion Shot is a simple and easy-to-use video editing software for Mac OS X and Windows PC operating systems. It was released in 2021 by Jocelyn Bell and Mark Ling, two of the leading experts in social media and mobile technologies at the time. The software was designed to allow people to create short motion videos, i.e., "Sessions" that could be stored on your Android cell phone or iPod for viewing on the move. The idea was to capture the essence of a certain location while keeping it simple to appeal to a younger audience. With the help of the motion sensor that was included with the software, the phones pick up the movement of the user's fingers to determine what actions to record.

The only downside to installing motion shot on your mobile device is that it does not currently support the motion detection that is used on the Samsung Gear Live, which means that you will have to use the built-in motion detection feature in the Gear app for this feature to work.
